No Sir don´t be that, simply speak the language, in our case speak Spanish when in Madrid. It is easier to say give me a “tapa” please, (deme una tapa por favor) than to gesticulate to point to the dish you want, in that way you have fat chances to end up with your hand poised to signal everything the very first minute you are around by yourself .
A benefit of learning Spanish in Madrid is that you learn it in the very source of the language and practicing it very first hand on the street when you leave the classroom, be wise and go for it, learn Spanish in Madrid !!
